A few weeks ago, our girl turned FIVE! Time sure does fly! I wrote about our experience at the American Girl Store a few weeks ago and shared our girl’s excitement into venturing into the wonderful world of AG. BUT… we also had the privilege of having Robin Winningham of It’s an Art Party! in Charlotte join us for some fun too. My daughter invited her favorite girlfriends to join us for a few different art projects that Robin and I discussed and decided on several weeks prior to the party. Robin, being a mom herself...

Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Hosting a brunch buffet can often times be stressful and a lot of work. I know I like to go all out when hosting our friends and family and a lot of the time tend to do way too much work for myself. Not this time. Considering...

A few weeks ago, you may have remembered me posting asking for ideas for easy ways to give a little fresher look to our master bathroom. Between Facebook and Instagram, you guys gave me some great ideas! I took to Pinterest and started pinning my own little “Bathroom Redo Dream Board” for inspiration. I knew I wanted to do it on a minimal budget and without needing to do a ton of work. Trust me.. I could’ve gutted the entire thing with the ideas I had in my mind! My husband though? Not so much on the same...

This is my absolute favorite time of the year! Getting out the decorations, putting up and decorating the tree, driving around to check out all of the lights, Barnaby the elf joins us once again,...

… SUPER LANDYN! Superheroes commence! We celebrated Landyn’s 4th birthday in style a few weeks ago. Spiderman was there, Batman, Wonder Woman, Superwoman, & Captain America, the birthday boy himself! Captain America’s baby sister even made an appearance! 😉 So before we get into anything else, let’s talk the details of how I pulled this “Super Landyn” party off! Luckily, it was gorgeous out. And I mean.. gorgeous! Like t shirt weather and the kids just had a blast running around in the backyard....

When Landyn asked for a Superhero party for this 4th birthday, I was so excited! I instantly turned to Pinterest for inspiration. I wondered how in the world I planned parties (or a wedding! AHH!) before Pinterest came around. Then…. I had to laugh, because the invitations I ended up making didn’t even come from Pinterest at all! I got some inspiration from bits and pieces, but then decided on my own idea. I’m a very “do-it-yourself” type of girl. Last year, I turned to Anders Ruff printables for LC’s...

Yesterday, Lavery turned 1! We celebrated with friends and we had a great day (despite the party being held outdoors in 100+ degree heat!) We decided to share the party with some friends, because two of Lavery’s buddies share the same birthday and another a week later. To accommodate both a girl and a boy party, we went with a picnic theme and then chose a different book to represent each baby (although the two boys shared the same book.) Overall, it turned out great even with the insane heat wave hitting our area right now! Who...
