Having two daughters, I really want to start special traditions to share with them while they’re young that they’ll cherish forever. My oldest daughter, who is four also wants to be like mommy all the time. She likes to wear makeup, put on high heels, and show off sparkly jewelry, so it was a no brainer to add something flashy she can wear to her Christmas list. I love the idea of getting her a charm bracelet. She already loves mine and ooh’s and ahh’s over the gorgeous charms, so I thought why not get her one...

When I came across the Star from Afar, I was so excited to check it out. The day it showed up my doorstep to share with you all, I could hardly wait to start it with my kids. Having three young kids and wanting to instill in them the story of Jesus and why we celebrate this season is so important to me. I want my kids to grow up thinking of Christmas a Jesus’ birthday and being thankful for the gifts he’s given, but I also want them to have the traditions and fun memories that I had growing up too. Since my kids range from...

It’s so easy to get sucked into the madness during the holiday season. Sales, doorbusters, buy one get one free; falling into the trap of buying too much while forgetting the whole gift of the season is to spread love and joy to the people you love. Especially when you have young kids, it’s easy to forget why we celebrate Christmas in the first place. Every year I try to instill fun new traditions and activities to share why we celebrate Christmas with my kids. This year, I found this adorable itty bittys Nativity...

A few weeks ago, you may have remembered me posting asking for ideas for easy ways to give a little fresher look to our master bathroom. Between Facebook and Instagram, you guys gave me some great ideas! I took to Pinterest and started pinning my own little “Bathroom Redo Dream Board” for inspiration. I knew I wanted to do it on a minimal budget and without needing to do a ton of work. Trust me.. I could’ve gutted the entire thing with the ideas I had in my mind! My husband though? Not so much on the same...

Our little lady just turned five months – HOORAY! I know, I know; I have yet to share her birth story or many pictures on here. Being a mommy of three has certainly had its challenges juggling different school schedules and activities, but we’ve also had quite the breastfeeding journey. Since she was born, nursing this third time around seemed to go so perfectly. She latched on right away, my milk came right in, and at her first checkup and one and two month checkups she gained perfectly. All of that perfection came...

It’s been quite a while since I sat down and took some time to just write. To write about life, my family, my thoughts. While this blog has grown tremendously over the past few years and I’m so incredibly thankful for this busy job it has turned into, I need to make sure I still take some to really write for myself too. The whole reason I started this in the first place was to document our lives as our kids grew up, but also to document my own thoughts and process it all and share tidbits of myself with you, too. The past...

This is a “sponsored post in partnership with BJ’s Wholesale Club. I am a BJ’s Wholesale Club Blogger Ambassador. BJ’s compensated me via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value to write it. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.     Oh sweet, sweet summertime! It’s time for the sun, sand, & sea and all of the fun family times that come with it! Our family will spend hours in the sand and listening the waves crash while...

Back when I was pregnant with my first, if you had told me I should look at organic anything; I probably would have looked at you like a deer in headlights. I was absolutely clueless on so many things the first time around and did many things I would do differently now. Then, when I had my daughter, I started to do some things differently. This third time around, I feel like I finally have a full grasp on how I plan to navigate this parenting journey we’re on. One of the biggest debates I dealt with this pregnancy (and trust...

Being on a kindergarten schedule this year has seriously thrown our family for a loop. We’ve gone from having to have the kiddos ready and at preschool by 9:30am, to having to have my son fed, dressed, and out the door by 7:15. On top of that, this mom is pregnant and exhausted and daddy has to be out the door at the same time as the little guy to head to work. Can you imagine the chaos that ensues in our house on a regular day-to-day basis? While my kids would probably be okay skipping breakfast completely and grabbing something...

Now that we’re in the final stretch of this pregnancy and I’m really getting ready to introduce our sweet baby girl to the world, I’m starting to have those feelings of guilt I had when I was pregnant with Lavery. I remember the last few nights before she was born staying up crying, because I felt so horrible for our only child, my sweet little man to have some of the attention taken away from him. Everyone told me it was normal to feel and it would go away and they would grow up to be great friends, and while all that...
