Breastfeeding my third baby now has come with a lot of lessons learned over mistakes I made or things I didn’t know from the first time around. I remember not having the faintest clue about things like a hands free pumping bra, or essential nursing products I would later come to think of as a necessity. One thing I have come to be rather picky about though is a good and comfortable nursing bra. How many times have you tried a nursing bra that ended up being so uncomfortable, stretched out, didn’t give you enough support, you...

Now that we’re in the final stretch of this pregnancy and I’m really getting ready to introduce our sweet baby girl to the world, I’m starting to have those feelings of guilt I had when I was pregnant with Lavery. I remember the last few nights before she was born staying up crying, because I felt so horrible for our only child, my sweet little man to have some of the attention taken away from him. Everyone told me it was normal to feel and it would go away and they would grow up to be great friends, and while all that...

Drum roll please!! Things have been so crazy wrapping up school activities before Christmas break, getting ready for the holiday’s, and crazy schedules – I haven’t had a chance to announce our baby’s gender for you all yet!! Several weeks ago, we went for a 3D ultrasound at New Beginnings 3D in Gastonia, NC. I was so anxious to get a peek of our baby bean and find out if I should be buying more blue or hanging onto all of our pink! Both kids wanted a brother, our good friends had a baby boy in the spring and they...

You may have noticed things around here have been pretty mute and slow moving lately. I promise, I do have a good excuse for that and our family is so excited to make this announcement and share our news with you all! When I first started this blog, it served as a way to keep family in the loop of what’s going on in our lives and it has evolved into something more that I truly love and enjoy doing. Unfortunately, sometimes life gets in the way and while I am a mom first, the updates here don’t come as frequently sometimes as...

Medela recently launched an exciting new program to help new breastfeeding moms succeed in developing a positive breastfeeding relationship. Medela Breastfeeding University  is a new online tool that provides tips and several courses that address the basics and challenges moms embark through their breastfeeding journey. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to check out the program and while I am no longer breastfeeding either of my kids, I gained a wealth of knowledge by going through the courses. Medela Breastfeeding Univeristy...

As LC and I hang out this morning and get ready for my doctor’s appointment, I figured it was time to post my most recent 3d ultrasound photos! We went to The Prenatal Picture last week to have a little glimpse at baby Lavery and we were amazed at how clearly we could see her! She was posing for us and wiggling around like crazy! She had the umbilical cord up in her face, so she spent the first half of the ultrasound batting at it trying to get it down. Finally – she did! LC had the best time watching his baby “sissy”...

Well.. I’m just shy of 13 weeks and feeling pretty amazing! I’ve been a little sick here and there (mostly first thing in the morning, so happy to report that this time, the term “morning sickness” is actually somewhat accurate!) With LC.. it was more like ALL.DAY.SICKNESS! This time, not so much! We made it through the Holiday’s.. and I didn’t even gain any weight! I told Kyle I was going to try to avoid the scale, but much to my dismay.. the nurse wasn’t going for that, and I was pleasantly surprised! Today...

Well baby Crowe # 2 is making its appearance on Forever’s Like a Dream! I had an appointment yesterday and a 9 week ultrasound and this little pea was measuring in at 9 weeks and 5 days! I even got to see its little arms and legs moving around… kicking like crazy!! I don’t remember ever seeing that with LC much (definitely not that early!) He was such a low key baby both in my belly and out, that he wasn’t very active… although he is making up for that now!! haha So far, this pregnancy and baby are so completely...
